Well we never prevented from day 1. However it took us 4 1/2 years to conceive. I do not regret trying earlier because I wasn't sure it would be that tough. And I am sort of glad we didn't get pregnant right away although it was sad because we went through hard times financially, emotionally, and physically the first 2 years of marriage and it would have been tough raising a child in that situation. Really it is just the couple's decision. If it feels right do it, if you have doubts wait a little while longer. You will know the time is right. However when you do get pregnant it is normal to be scared and doubt your decision. Children are a blessing and great and I can't wait till our first is born.

3 years. Don't regret waiting that long at all. We got to get through the difficult first year of marriage without that added stress. Then we got to go on some good vacations without kids--Las Vegas, San Francisco, Disneyland, Disneyworld (yes we'll go back to the last 2 WITH the kids someday). We didn't have money to buy a house when we were first married, but by the time we had our first child we had a house, our own business, and a savings account. Not having kids for a few years allowed us to take more financial risks that have really gotten ahead in life.

Well I got pregnant before I got married. Just got married last October and have been married 3 months. I don't regret anything and I'm so excited to see this baby in April.

Married for 3 before we started trying. After 3 months, we got pregnant.
But, we've had trouble for the last 6 years trying to have another.
I have NO regrets.
We waited after we were married, cuz we wanted "our time". We were able to both work, and save up money.

We were married on a Sunday and we found out we were pregnant the next Saturday. It ended up being an ectopic pregnancy, but after that we decided to keep trying.
We got pregnant with our daughter after 7 months after we were married.
We have never ever ever regretted it. We were just ready to have a family.

We were married for 5 years before we decided to get pregnant. We were also older when we got married so waiting for 5 years was to enjoy being married and also doing the things that we love together before we would have a child. I will admit it was harder being pregnant while being older, but we definitely have all the benefits of having a strong marriage, great memories of being a couple, and being financially stable enough to give our child whatever he needs.

We had been married 8 years before we decided to try. It took us four months (which to me seemed like forever). I don't regret it because it gave us time to be together as a couple before we had our family.
