Has anybody been to a finishing school? What is done there, what did you get from it?

Were there any books, etc? Thanks, I am looking into going to one ... so any responses are very appreciated!

I went to Finishing School in Switzerland, for two years. Well, as the name states, it helps you round-off your education, instructing you on different things, from art appreciation to good manners. A lot of people think this is a waste of time, but i am glad i attended and are planning on sending my daughter when she finishes high school. You see, a degree from a good school opens doors for you, but knowing how to act on different occasions and making wonderful contacts gives girls a wider range of options to broaden their perspective on life.And yes, there are books, you can even take other languages, if you are interested.
