It is possible that a grown boa constrictor could kill an adult, but not likely.
It would be impossible for even the largest boa to eat a human, as most won't get more than 13 feet long. But the longest one on record was about 18 feet. A snake that long would not be able to swallow Arnold Swartzenegger, but it probably wouldn't have much problem with David Spade. Callista Flockheart would be an easy snack.
However, just to kill a human is more than possible if a large boa (say, maybe 7 to 10 feet long) got around your neck and just started squeezing. That is why it is ill advised to wrap large constricting snakes around your shoulders, even if they are tame. Snakes of this length can easily put enough pressure to close off the windpipe AND the corotid arteries. Seven seconds or so, and you haven't gotten that snake off of you, and you're done, especially if there isn't anyone there to help you.
There have been cases where this has actually happened, and the snake wasn't even attacking or anything. It was just trying to prevent itself from falling from the guy's shoulders.
An eighteen foot Indian Python killed and ate a full grown leopard in the wild. This was documented. Thirteen foot long anacondas regularly kill and eat 6 foot long caimans. Very large snakes can and have eaten humans, although it is very, very rare. They will always have a problem getting their mouths around our shoulders, but it isn't impossible, especially if the human is small.

what a extraordinary bunch of solutions. xyz dude is better of the above solutions. My lady boa constrictor is 8 a million/2 feet and is rather thick. She is 7 years previous and thickened up the previous 2 years to the two-liter thick length. make certain you examine in the previous making the acquisition and not in basic terms via yahoo solutions the place people do no longer continually be attentive to what they're conversing approximately. Boa constrictors are an prolonged-term dedication and a few are extra aggressive than others. stable success!

NO SNAKE CAN EAT A HUMAN. We are proportioned to indifferently for them to swallow us. The Internet picture of a human in a snake was a proven fake. Besides we would taste terrible to a snake with our perfumes, deodorants, hairspray and such things. There have been proven cases of handlers killed by their "pets", and it is certain that there are deaths in the wild lands. But as far as being eaten it is virtually impossible. I stand 6' and weigh 220, I screwed up and my 10' albino Burm (Nighdo) bit me and took me off me feet before I could even feel any pain. They are an amazing killing animal!
Here are a few tips that I use :
Never open a snakes cage without someone else with you
If it is possible never feed the snake in its living cage
always handle the snake with a hook or stick before with your hand
never handle the food then the snake with out washing your hands first
keep a bottle of isopropyl alcohol next to snakes cage. If you do get bit pour it the snakes head and it will release
never handle one snake then another without washing your hands
And always remember this is a wild animal, its not a matter of "haven't been" bit but "when you" get bit. Oh all the zoos nation wide have quit taking "donated " snakes trying to deter those from buying them. Good Luck

Ummm, to the last lady who said that they only get 6 to 8 feet, you need to check some facts. 10 to 13 feet would be more like it. As far as the question, they could kill the man possibly. I have a young one that is about 3 feet long right now and it is as strong as a horse. Once it gets around my arm it usually takes a struggle to get it off. (it wants to stay out and be held and not go back into cage. non aggressive, sweet attitude.) If you got a large female (13 feet) and it wrapped around someone even around arms and chest, you would have a hard time getting it off. And each time you let out a breath it would constrict tighter. I think it could possibly kill someone like that even without being around the neck if they just sat there. Even if you can't get your arms free you would be up and slamming your body into a wall or something to help the snake change it's mind. swallowing, never. The shoulders would be way to wide. They can swallow amazing size prey, but there are limits. It is usually said to be about twice their body width. you could push it more I suppose, but not as far as that size of a man. kids maybe, but not adults.

Kill, yes-anything over 10 feet has the potential to kill an adult human. Eat-probably not, but it won't matter to the poor dead guy because the snake won't find out he's too big until it's too late.

Kill yes. All it has to do it wrap it self around the neck. It has happened. As for eating. I know of no case one getting that far. They only get to 6 to 8 feet.

NO,it might be possible to kill (if strangled by the neck), but not to be be eaten. The only snake that large would large enough to eat you would be an anaconda. Scientists even argue about them doing it.

Kill - definitely. Eat - no chance. They don't get THAT big. Only a very large Anaconda/Reticulated Python MIGHT be able to - but even that's pretty unlikely.
