Well, there are agents who will just take a percentage of what you make, like those lawyers who promise you wont pay anything unless you win in court.
Judging by your user name, and Im sorry if this is wrong, but you seem a little young to need an agent at this point, not to mention that picking an agent from a website is a dodgy move. get to know some people who are in the theater buisiness and they can point you in the direction of trustworthy and affordable agents.

There is no such thing as a an agent that you have to pay up front. Any agent franchised by the major acting unions - SAG, AEA, AFTRA, etc. - receives their fee from a percentage of what their clients earn - if they don't earn anything, the agents don't make anything.
Similarly with personal managers, any reputable one will never charge you money up front to represent you. If an agent or manager is charging you money up front, RUN, do not walk, as far away from them as you can. Take your money and get good headshots, take class with reputable teachers, even put on your own show - but NEVER give money to an agent or manager as a pre-condition for them repping you.

You should NEVER pay any money for an agent. Reputable agents take a percentage of money you make on jobs you found as their client, rather than requiring advance payment.
If you really think you have what it takes to become a profesisonal actor, your next step is to check the yellow pages of your nearest major city and call those agents. Don't do anything online--that's asking for trouble. Con artists like that prey on kids like you who are looking to become famous.

By definition, an agent doesn't "cost" anything. Agents earn a percentage of what the performer earns for work that the agent has procured.
10% is standard; it can be somewhat higher for "personal managers."
Believe me, if you earn enough to have to pay an agent $1 million, you won't be complaining.

YOU NEED TO GO TO GOOGLE AND TYPE IN ACTING AGENTS. THEN FOLLOW THE SITES....THE ONLY THING YOU MAY HAVE TO PAY FOR ARE HEAD AND BODY SHOTS. THEN ON THE BACK LIST YOUR ACTING CREDITS. IF YOU HAVE NONE SEND A COVER LETTER. DON'T GET MUSSHY JUST RELATE YOUR AMBITIONS. AN AGENT IS FREE AND YOU WILL NEED A SCREEN ACTORS GUILD CARD. CHECK THE INTERNET FOR THAT AND THE ACTORS UNION. NOW.......GO DO YOUR THING!!
