The only way to score one point is on an extra point. You can score 2 points by getting a safety. That is when the offense gets tackled in their own endzone.

It is absolutely possible to score only one point (not from a PAT). This is called "try safety" which has only happened twice in college football. Team A lines up to kick a PAT. Team B blocks the kick and the ball stays out of the endzone. Team B picks up the football, runs backwards (or laterals to a teammate) and gets tackled by Team A in the endzone. Team A gets 1 point for a "try safety".

The only other ways I can think of is the opposing team sacking the QB in the endzone(2 pts.),or a two point conversion after a TD.

other than extra point a 2 point safety is as close as you will get unless you are playing soccer (football)
