Hi,

Actually it's not as easy as you might think , first you need to register a domain name(if you don't already have one), second you will have to have static ip addresses from your ISP and install DNS server on your pc to use those ips.

Then you will have to install an http server such as Apache, and then direct your domain to the DNS nameservers that you have credited and registered.

and then your domain will be working on the web server you installed on your pc.

it's really not that easy, but i hope the above steps helped !

good luck

Since you are on dial-up - your site will stop working when you are not connected (or your IP changes - which would make everything appear to go offline for up to 3 days).

This is what you don't want to do.

You should look into hosting services that provide free web space for your domain instead, or find an inexpensive hosting service.

OK, but you don;t need to use your PC as a server for this matter, it would mean to have your PC always connected, and by using a dial up connection it would also be slow.

You create a free website, I presume in
sites like www.geocities.com etc
Even your ISP will give you a free Home Page, and
depending on the Mb allotted
You can create any number of web pages ,
and your current domain will remain as it is.
