Weather systems are chaotic.
This means that slightly small changes in initial conditions will have almost unpredictable consequences. Try to predict how air will evolve if you blow cigarette’s smoke and you’ll understand that this depends of tiny variations of air speed, air pollutants, pressure, and a long list of other factors.
The most relevant factor is temperature.
Hot surfaces warm the air and it moves upright, causing a low pressure zone; at the same time, cold air moves towards that zone and this develops in breeze or wind. And since temperature depends on the properties of elements or materials in the surface, there are varying temperatures in any unit of space —from city to city or within a city, even in a few inches—.
In order to compute all those factors at the same time incredible amounts of calculation power would be required.
Instead, weather forecasting relies on patterns, though not so accurate, at least useful enough for short term prediction.

We can only really look at what has happened in our weather history and judge from that. Weather is unpredictable, and with modern technology, is still hard to predict an accurate forecast of the future weather.
A lot of weather occurs due to patterns in temp, moisture..etc., but we can only look at the signs of what is going on now, and use facts to make a prediction of what may occur. Weather is truly unique, and therefore almost impossible to predict 100% correctly.

I guess with all of the different fronts coming in it would be hard to predict the weather too far in advance.
