No one knows for certain not even the scientists. I remember hearing last year that the sun is generating more heat than normal. To me it seems that has a greater impact that what humans have done to the planet and would explain warmer temperatures at the poles. The last ice age was in the 18th century and it was considered a small ice age. Who knows in that 100 years from now we may be experiencing another small ice age.
One thing is for certain in that I heard very little about global warming when recently about 20 people were killed in the US from a terrible winter storm.

Experts have said it will really start to effect the earth within 50 years. Some say the north pole and it's ice shelves are melting because of global warming, some say the earth is in a cycle and it means nothing....hard to say for sure.

It's closer than you think. SCIENTIST SPECIALIZED IN THIS WORLDWIDE PROBLEM SAY THAT IN APPROXIMATELY 50 YRS. GLOBAL WARMING WILL BE REALLY BAD AND KILL LOTS OF PEOPLE. If you want to know more about this watch the Documentary Movie An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore; it's pretty interesting and it tells you more about what you need to know and what can you do to change this. I already watched it; it's good ;). Good Luck

Its already here, the next 100 years or so are just the changes that come with it and the first thing we are experiencing is the changes on the weather.

the polar icecap use to extend down
into Virginia,so warming has being going
on long before man, or a drop of oil was used. why do they want us to believe it is
our fault?

whether or not human activity is totally resposible for climate change I do think we are at least resposible for speeding it up, giving us less time to adapt. But it's here, no doubt.

It's been happening for a while, but it's still not too late to fix things, if we all try and care.
