I have a friend who got a DUI back in Dec 05 and she's still waiting for the appeal to see if she loses her license or not. We were wondering if having a DUI (if she loses her license) will this disqualify her from becoming a teacher in New Jersey?

If it's a felony DUI, it will stop you from getting almost any professional certification.

Probably not. Usually traffic violations do not exclude you. She will have to explain it on employment applications which means if she went to the classes etc which were mandated it should not be a real problem.
