Well, depending on amount you have to spend... you can go from a simple homemade meal (or his favorite take out) and cuddle with him, watching his favorite movie. You can take him to a good hockey game or buy him a cool watch or MP3 player. Or you can look for a novelty sport he has yet to try and get him some basic gear and a how to lesson which you both can try together. Of course, you can always just have a date where you play laser tag or paint ball for the day : )

But remember... make Valentine's special... a you and him thing - the best Valentine's day stuff is simply spending it together and reminiscing on why you chose each other to be your "special someone" in your lives : )

Do something daring and unexpected, if you're not a poet, then write a poem, if you're not a dancer, then dance, if you can't sing, then sing. One Valentines day, I did a belly dance for my then boyfriend. Me of all people, who resembles an epileptic seizure while shaking her rump! But I looked at these great how-to videos and learned a thing or two. Well needless to say after the show, my boyfriend was ready to belly dance on top of me! Don't dare yourself to do anything that will do you more harm than good, but try to spice it up a bit, you might even surprise yourself.

If he's a sporty boy, do what I got my boyfriend for his bithday, get him one of these cute toilettries set, I got mine one that contained hair gel and those sort of things in a wicked sports/trainers bag - he loved it! I forget the name of the brand though...

You could get him a funky watch or a necklace for men (sporty boys tend to like that)..
Or if you're going to seriously splash out, get him Diesel Zero Plus For Men Gift Set. It's class!

Get him two tickets to his favorite game. Encourage him to have a man's day out and enjoy himself. Meet him later for a drink to see how much he enjoyed it.

Since he likes to eat, buy gift certificates to his favorite restaurant. And maybe he will take you along.
