This past week, America's decision to force liberty and democracy on Iraq cost them over 1,000 civilian lives. These are people's mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, grandmothers, etc. People need to start thinking about what the real consequences are for Bush's actions. He isn't simply playing army with plastic soldiers. Human beings are being slaughtered on the streets of their towns, the places they have lived their entire lives. Children cannot attend school without bombs flying through the windows. How would we feel about this fact in America? Would you send little Johnny off to school believing he could be killed before the end of school day? How would you feel seeing his blood pooled next to his crushed, lifeless body? That child is real, and he is Iraqi. He was merely an innocent child, but apparently he was worrisome enough to a few militant insurgents that he should be summarily executed for being from a different tribal clan and religious sect.
Bush is a danger to the entire world. Sure we haven't had an attack since 9/11, but is that because of our war in Iraq? I do not think so. Do I give credit to the president for this fact? Of course not. He has simply gotten lucky for the balance of his term in office. If he had spent the money and time he has poured into Iraq on building our border defenses, then I would support his efforts completely. But we all know in our hearts that is not the case.

Your statement of the problem circles around it without quite hitting it on the head. The problem with the Bush Administration is that they will gladly give you a single part of truth on the front side with nine parts lie to follow. I'm with you in not being able to have any faith in what they tell me now because they've taught me that the consequence I'll have to pay for it when the rest of the story comes out next week is too costly.
What bothers me the most at the moment is how the game has changed. Now it's, "yeah, Iraq is bad but the other side isn't offering any viable solutions" as if somehow it is the left and center's responsibility to fix what the right has broken.
I think we should make Iraq the 51st state. When W. leaves the White house he can be the governor. It has plenty of oil, faith based initiatives, executions and sand. We could even rename Mesopotamia Crawford so it would be easier for him to pronounce during his inauguration. What do you think?

Please excuse my spelling as you read my answer. In my opinion the unknowns crossing the border are a bigger threat. However Clinton is the one who started all the bi-lingual stuff with his exective orders requiring we serve both in English and Spanish. I am an American. I speak english. I pay my taxes. I work hard. When I don't work, I dont eat. I do not depend on others to take care of me, because I like taking care of my self. I don't blame others for my mistakes and I am not a victim. I live in the greatest country in the world. The rest of the world can stay out of my business and run their own counrty any way they like. I live under a Constitution and a Bill Of Rights. I elect officials to vote how I tell them to vote and not how they feel like voting. They are my representive not my god. They are elected to serve me, not the other way around. I want to buy products made by my fellow Americans because I want to support my fellow countrymen. Wal-Mart can go back to China. Asslimate into our country or go back to the country you came from. If your country and culture was so great, why did you leave it to come here. Become an American or get the hell out of our country. We celebrate Christmas, New Years, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentines day, Mother's Day and Fathers day. My country was founded on Christian Principals. The writers of the Constitution gave everyone the right to worship or not worship as they see fit but our country was still founded knowing that their was a Supreme Being who we are answerable to someday. God has standards and these standards are written into every law of our land. If you can not live with these facts them move to Russia. Iraq is just a warning of a bigger problem in this world. Other countries see what we have because we have freedom and they want us to die. Either leave us alone or be propared for the conquenses. You try to kill us or attack our country you are toast. Your country and your people are gone and your land is a glass field. We have bailed out more people in this world than any other country in the world and we are happy to do it because God has blessed us and we as Americans like to share. What bothers us is the ungrateful bastards who can never get enough and blame others for their stupid mistakes and then expect us to bail them out time and time again. Do it for your self.

Bush still hasn't said what success will look like in Iraq. How can we possibly develope a plan to have success in Iraq if we have no clue what the success will be or look like?
It is like someone who doesn't know the rules for winning chess, which at anytime that person can change the rules for winning chess to his or her own desire. Bush is feeding people bull crap.

The biggest threat to our national security is the news media. Hoover would turn over in his grave if he knew how irresponsible we have become. Not that I agree with everything he did. If we know, than our enemy know. All I want to know is that we are doing what is necessary to protect our country and it is being taken care of. I don't have to know the details until after the fact, not before and way after the fact. We give our enemy amunition against us when we open our mouths on the news. It is pathetic. What have we come to.

yes, when a family are wiped out in the Middle East or anywhere else for that matter, by weapons made and supplied by the US, or the UK, that can only breed anger and hatred. amerUKa, is the biggest pro-war agressive war mongers in years, this cant be good for the World, no matter what excuses their brainwashed supporters make for them. Listening to Bush and Blair supporters reminds me of a beaten Wife defending her abusive Husband

No, just because you don't like someone is no reason to put unreasonable blame on them. (I think he's a piece of crap)
The threat to our security has nothing to do with Bush, it has everything to do with religious fundumentalist that are trying to kill all the infidels.
If we don't focus on the right questions or we could all end up dead. Bush, athough I don't like him has all my support. When he makes a decision on the war on terror that I don't like. I pray that I'm wrong and he is right and that this all comes to an end someday.

my my....how short sometimes memory can be. Bush is not a threat at all, hes responding to clinton inaction and inaccurate behavior.
uss cole attack...clinton...no response
african embassy attack...clinton...no response
first wtc bombing...clinton...no response
SECOND WTC ATTACK...bush..response
END OF DOMESTIC KNOWN SUCCESSFULL ATTACKS THE LAST SEVEN YEARS.
your entitled to your view certainly but i think history speaks heavily that lack of response is the real culprit and bush has kept attack from our soil successfully...perhaps you could add some explanation as to how cut an run sends a message to our enemy not to attack....?
Fat chance liberal.
