Optimus Prime (Generation 1)

He was heroic and a leader. He faced every battle without any fear and was always confident in his decisions. He lead by example and never asked his troops to do anything he himself would not do. He sacrificed himself when things went bad to save the others, and always fought with honor.

He also has one of the most iconic transformations, and has always been the most respected leaders.

The others to carry the name Optimus Prime were good, but nothing is better than the original.

When I was a kid, it was Bumblebee. I guess being young, I identified with him because he was the smallest and felt the youngest. The same way I identified with Robin from Superfriends.

As an adult, I just LOVE anything having to do with Optimus Prime. I love how the character has spanned every version of Transformers, in one incarnation or another. The iconic mouthplate and antenna on either side of his helmet, it has become the most identifible image related to Transformers, not counting the Autobot & Decepticon symbols.
