Without knowing where you live, it's hard to make recommendations. There are TONS of craft stores, and Michaels is just one chain. Look in the yellow pages (real book or online at http://yp.yahoo.com, etc.) for craft stores, hobby stores, etc.
Also, Ebay is a great place - you can find awesome bargains if you're willing to search and be strategic.

There are thousands of craft stores around the country, Some are national chains like Michaels and Joann. Other are local stores. All should either carry or be able to order what you need.

you could try Herrschners or Annies attic(both mail order) for some dolls), also Joannes has some dolls & sutffed animals. Michaels & Moskatels is a definitive resource, and i dont think you will do much better - you will simply do a lot more work for a few additional resources.

If you go to AC Moore. They are so cheap and they have more than you will ever need. I personally think that they are a better store than Micheals. Bigger/Cheaper selection.
