What do you reckon will kill us all off first?
1 global warming. 2 pandemic flu. 3 some idiot world leaders nuking each other. or some other cause? The 'experts' say it will be probably a nuclear conflict so it would be interesting to get different opinions on this,i expect their will be many varied views on what could be deemed as a fairly serious question as on one hand we do all we can to live as long as we can,yet on the other through our actions or the actions of others we inveriably make life shorter

It will probably be a combination of causes such as a third of the population dying of HIV/AIDS related illnesses, half of the remaining people catching pandemic 'flu and then a nuclear conflict caused by people such as the Iranians or North Koreans replying to George Bush's preemptive strike - whatever the cause, the survivors will have a tough time and will probably kill each other off fighting over the remaining food resources!!

A massive, Texas size asteriod slamming into the earth. We will not see it coming and will have no way to stop it, mayhem will insue, mass roiting and choas, everyone trying to get way and unfortunatley the earth will be swallowed by a massive dust cloud and everyone will die - slowly and surley.
Who cares, I know for sure that in my life time (my life ending somewhere around 2056 to 2076) there will probably not be any major nuke event, flu pandemic or a sudden change in our weather leading to an ice age. So why worry about. Just go live your life, knowing that if some bone-headed worled leader pushes the button, you will be the last to know.

Acoording to my opinion,there is no such world leader in the planet who would be dumb enough(ok,maybe someone like Mr. Bush?) to start a nuclear war at this point of time,when nobody is really sure who have them and who do not.Rather,I think of mainly the following possibilties:-
1)A pandemic may break out,starting from some unknown place,with a completely new strain of deadly virus,which would wipe us off from the face of the planet even before we can search for a cure for it(just like AIDS).
2)Another great possibility is the collision of a meteor with the Earth,just like the one that removed the dinosaurs form the world stage once and for all.Only,this time,we have some hope that we may spot it before it hits us and cna destroy it before entering the earth's atmosphere.
3)Otherwise,there is always the undeniable fact(and not a possibility) that,one day,the sun would come so close to us that it will become impossible to sustain any life on the surface of he earth.

The world will end from famine and radiation poisoning caused by nuclear winter, and it will be multiple countries nuking each other.

Instead of focussing on who or what will do us all in, how about focussing on who or what can get us out of this mess.
We only have global warming because man will insist on damaging the planet - it is the only home we have at this point and I don't think there can be many other planets as beautiful as our own, so why don't we try and save it or at least slow global warming down and stop killing each other with destructive and toxic substances.
Can the world population of today write history and truly achieve
UNITED NATIONS in this please....................................................

I think that global warming is the biggest problem we have. Just the rest of the whole world need to participate to avoid the disaster which is looming..... Maybe not in my time but in my daughters time. I believe this is the biggest risk.

I prefer some sort of nuclear thing... But I believe God will cause the end to happen, not man... Like in Revelation. :)

probably it will start when Israel launch a nuclear strike on Iran (backed of course by USA) who will retaliate, dragging in the rest of the world.
