background: person i was with aborted a preg. 5 yrs ago this week (was inform of preg on my birthday). While i still view my life as somewhat prochoice, i do keep the thought like life would have been better if my alcohol/chemical poisoning suicide try had work.. Before continuing, yes, i have seen multiple therapists/pyschatrists on the matter. They, themselves are uncertain on how to proceed given my combo of schizoid, depression, anxiety, with ptsd traits. obviously given other events i know i have issues letting go of the past, and that given my social connections or desires for many of the social norms that contact and buildup of friendships/relationships are difficult.

But back to the point, i often question why i still defend something for which i still think about alot to the point of suicidal ideation. I get that blaming of myself and perhaps everyone else who isn't my ex gf for it could be an issue, but since i don't blame here, uncertain how or if i should continue

we all have many beliefs wich we strongly hold on to, however when the situation happens to us it changes things....things become real it is easy to see something on the news and say they should have done this or that.... u could have told her not to but in the end it ws her body her choice however to mourn the lose is simply being human........ blaming urself wont change it u have to sort this out and put it in its proper place learn from it and move on

Whether you consider yourself "pro-choice" or not, you still have a conscience, and I'm sure your conscience tells you that killing innocent human beings is wrong. Your girlfriend not only killed an innocent human being, she killed your son or daughter. It is normal that you would feel depressed about this. However, killing yourself isn't going to bring your child back. You cannot change the past.

I recommend the excellent online post-abortion study for men called "Wounded Warrior." It's available for free here:
