That is a very good question and one that is worth a great deal of consideration in order to answer it in the most concise and accurate method. Questions are the determining factor in the potential answers. People have vast differences in their opinions and expertiise in any particular area, so responses tend to differ greatly, depending on these differences. Other factors people utilize in their answers depend on their social and moral convictions, although personal experience is probably the greatest determining factor to most any response given when a particular question is posed them. Since people inherently have different personalities, some have a tendency to ramble on and on and on. They seem to have no consideration for another persons preferences, much less a consideration for another's personal time. Sometimes a person does not want to listen (or read) long winded answers to a question that could be responded to very easily in just a word or two. These are those thypes of people that I have mentioned that have a tendency to ramble on and on and on. They just ramble on and on. I call those types of people "ramblers". I can't stand the long winded answers that these ramblers give to questions that could otherwise be responded to quite quickly and concisely. These ramblers tend to repeat the same words and or phrases over and over and over again. They just ramle on and on, as if the more words they put out there, the better their ideas come across. These ramblers are the type of people whose answers I would strongly urge you to avoid, since many answers could very easily be given in a few short words. I just don't understand how or way those people think that anyone on the face of the planet would want to listen to or read long winded answers that don't really answer the question well, or that could be answered in a few short words. Sometimes a simple yes or no will suffice, as would be the case for your particular question. But since there are in fact those people who have a tendency to ramble, that is not always the case. I personally hate long answers.

I just read the first paragraph. If it's not interesting by then, I move on. If it's way too long I give it a low rating just to get it off the screen so I can scroll up or down faster. However, I've been known to go on and on. So I can't really b**** too much about it. I find the worst offenders are the religious people. They must quote half the bible all the time. Gets annoying.

Yes and No. Sometimes Long Answers can be non-related to what is being talked and get really boring and annoying sometimes. The problem may be the introduction or the way of expressing about a topic. My recommendation is to start with a joke or something interesting that got or may get the readers attention... Good Luck

I have received some answers that are 10 times longer than some of my school essays that I've written and do not even answer my question! So yes, I hate them, and I don't read them either, I just skim through them.

i beleive that long answers are thorough, i especially like them if they are funny or sarcastic. And if it's a question that you really want to know the answer to than it's gppd that you have a long thorough answer for it. But other questions, like this one that don't require a long answer, then long answers are just ridiculous. I don't even know why i am typing tjhis lol, becuase you stated before that you wern't even going to read it. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? spongebob square pants. That all really depends on the question asked. If you are inquiring about something important, I will take all I can get. If it is something stupid like this, then no.
