Most gaming pc's run dual core processors. The current favorite is the Intel Conroe, but AMD makes some nice processors as well. I'm sure you can play the games, but they might run a bit slow. Is that the inel 641 processor? If so, be careful of the ASUS board and its compatibility. I bought an ASUS board because it was supposed to handle that processor and it wouldn't work. The VGA card should be fine, but it's a couple of generations old now. SATA 2 hard drive? That should be ok, try to get the 16mb cache, if possible. The gamers like the Western Digital Raptor, it's only a SATA 150, but it's a 10,000 rpm drive. You might want to go with a CD drive instead of the DVD ROM, the CD will give you a few more rpm and cost a few less bucks. As far as the read/write drive, you can get a 20X for about $5 more.

the video card will stop the games since it is NOT a gaming card. Goto www.tomshardware.com for video benchmarks (and prove). 2gb of ram is very good, but that cpu wouldn't be a good choice. About any AMD cpu will beat it and probably be cheaper, the Intel core 2 would be the best (if you can afford it, even the E6300 is much faster then most). You can goto tom's hardware for benchmarks on cpus as well.
