1. Human food can be dangerous for them; they may not be able to digest certain of our foods.
2. To preserve nature. Feeding animals will domesticate them to an extent, make them reliant on us. The species we feed will flourish, their overpopulation will have consequences for their habitat.
3. Nuisance. Feed them too much, they'll start hanging around all the time.
In general, just think how horrible pigeons are in the city. Translate this to squirrels, etc. in the park.

If people are feeding the wild animals around the parks, then they would learn to depend on people for their food source. Soon, they might even start attacking people, because they have already associated humans with food. Furthermore, the more they are fed by people, the less scared they become of human contact. And therefore, it might lead to easy poaching. Some children will be tempted to pet these animals, and that can lead to serious injuries.
Lastly, by not feeding these animals, we are therefore encouraging them to hunt for thier own food, just as nature intended. We should learn to let nature run its own course.

So many people come to the zoo for the same reason - they love animals. As such, everyone wants to feed them. If everyone fed them, the animals would become fat. Most animals in parks and zoos are on a diet designed especially for their specific needs. Feeding treats or things not monitored in their rations would offset the health of the animal.
Zoo administrators are aware that people love to feed animals, so there is usually an area where they can interact with non-exotic animals with zoo-supplied animal rations that you can buy for that purpose.
Sea World has an area where you can buy pieces of fish to feed to dolphins and porpoises. This way, they know that what you are giving them is appropriate for their nutritional needs.
If the zoo or park doesn't have an area designated for interacting in this way, refrain from offering the animals anything you brought in or bought for your own consumption.
At Disney World's Animal Kingdom, the animals are provided specific scents and natural foods at very specific areas within the confinements. This is to keep the animals in full view of visitors. If everyone fed them, they would leave the viewing area when they felt full and take a siesta out of visual range of their visitors. Disney doesn't want to extract the money from park-goers if all they will see are large confines with animals visible in them.
I assure you, if an animal is at a zoo, he is getting a balanced diet designed with his species in mind - as well as nutritional supplements for it's optimal overall health.

Because feeding them changes their natural behavior. Some fed animals begin relying on humans to feed them instead finding their own food. This behavior can be dangerous for wild animals as well as humans.

if the animals become dependant on "hand out" foods two problems can occur.
one. the foods given may not be a balanced diet (ie. bread)
two. more animals than the area can support may show up and if the freebies stop shortages will occur. the animals now become dependant on the free food

Because a lot of stupid people feed the animals. Animals are usually on a special diet, and the crap some poeple try to feed them is not good for them at all. Please don't feed the animals unless they're your own.
