I hate to say it but no. Cornell is an ivy legue school. Only the top top percent of students even qualify to go there. The valedvictorian of my class got in there. Last year's valedvictorian did not.

I would have to say you can try, but don't be too hopeful. If you take the SAT II in science and math and score very high then you might be able to improve your chances. Also it would depend on what math and science classes you are in. If you attend an IB school and are in IB classes then your chances are raised there as well. Same thing for an AP school. The other thing that will matter is your extracurriculars. If you spend a lot of time doing things that you are passionate about (i.e. music, atheltics) and excel at them (as in have gained some sort of recognition), then you may have a better chance as well. Regular community service or upholding a job (but you'd have to work pretty regularly) also gives you some points. However, if few or none of the things that I mentioned apply to you then I'd have to say you pretty much don't stand a chance. The most important piece of information that colleges will look at is your transcript. Not only does it tell them your GPA and grades, it tells them whether you are challenging yourself, but more importantly, whether you are succeeding in your courses. The other thing colleges like to look at on your transcripts is whether you are either consistent, or show improvement. Downword trends are usually automatic refusals for admittance. If a lot of the things I mentioned earlier apply to you though, then I wouldn't give up hope just yet. Good referrals, and a storng college essay can sometimes get you in. But don't be too bummed out if you don't get in. Ivy leagues schools are very competative.

Cornell is an IVY League college with very high standards. Maybe if they lowered those standards in recent years, which I am unaware of, then you can try, and maybe get in.Call the admissions office anbd talk to them.
