Well, growing up I had both a dog and a cat. I must say now that I'm older... I prefer dogs.
Dogs, in my opinion, do make better pets.

It's all a matter of preference.

Both have pros and cons...

Cats aren't as high maintenance. Food, water and a litter box and they pretty much take care of themselves.

Dogs on the other hand, are a pet you can walk and play ball with. They tend to be highly interactive.

I like cats for cuddling and dogs for playing.
