I had watched the first four movies along time ago but forgot how Pinhead was created and where does he exactly come from. Might have missed some info watching the series because all I remembered was him killing people for that damn box.

If memory serves, he was a British officer in WWII. He too tried to open the box, and got the demons.
The memory of his humanity was lost. This made him a more effective demon.
In one of the movies, the victim brought the memories of his humanity back to him- as he developed empathy for her, his powers were stripped, and he was human again. Then they slit his throat and killed him.
Another movie (same one?) they separated pinhead from his human side, and that tactic was no longer possible

Overall, the Predator would win...unless he fell asleep. Then Freddy would get him. I can see Freddy in the cut waiting, while predator goes into stealth mode, and takes them all out one by one. Michael doesn't die, but then no one has ever cut his a$$ up either. Jason, let Mike Myers take him out, chuckie and ghostface can deal with each other leaving chuckie the victor, Pinhead may have an advantage since he can call on chains from out of nowhere. So, pinhead could hook the alien, pull him apart, punish chuckie, posess myers, but while he's doing all this the predator is positioning himself to take him out. So, predator and freddy are still out there somewhere until he falls asleep...then freddie will be all on his a$$.

Ah those cr@ppy old movies...I remember Pinhead as a human in a uniform buying the box in a hot steamy country. Then he went back to his room and opened up hell. As part of his torture a bunch of little hammers put those nails in his head and when it was all finished he said"ah, the sweet suffering". I think, I haven't seen it in about 15-20 years either.

He's an evil guardian of hell. He has been in hell for a long time and tortured horrifically (thus pins in the head). He is now incredibly sadistic and evil, and reaps the souls of people who screw with his lil contraption box and open the gates of hell/ use it to escape from hell etc. I think the box trapped him when he found it.

I can't remmeber either I haven't watched those movies for years. I do remember now him getting the pins put in his head. OUCH!
