Older - They might be giants

You're older than you've ever been
and now you're even older
and now you're even older
and now you're even older.
you're older than you've ever been
and now you're even older,
and now you're older still.

Time!...is marching on,
and time...is still marching on.

This day will soon be at an end
and now it's even sooner
and now it's even sooner
and now it's even sooner
this day will soon be at an end
and now it's even sooner
and now it's sooner still..

You're older than you've ever been
and now you're even older
and now you're even older
and now you're even older.
you're older than you've ever been
and now you're even older,
and now you're older still.

Stevie Wonders "Happy Birthday" should fit the bill. It was written for Martin Luther King but I'm sure he won't mind you using it!!

As an aside to this, did you know the traditional "Happy Birthday" actually has a copyright?!! It's now owned by the Harry Fox Agency which means, strictly speaking, you need to ask permission (and probably pay money) to sing it in public. Don't wory, no ones ever been asked to pay to sing it at a birthday but it cannot be used in a film, on tele etc without permission.

Depends what kind of music you like and the beat you might want to use for any suggestion try Stevie Wonder's "Happy Birthday" or some type of dance music. And on finding lyrics go to Lyred.com they have tons of songs you might want to find.

I'm told Happy Birthday to you is a popular choice. Catchy tune and easy lyrics.

"you say it's your birthday" by the Beatles

"Happy Birthday baby" it's from the 60's by maybe Dion

"Close to you" by the Carpenters - not a traditional 'happy birthday' song, but good lyrics nonetheless
