I am due and August and I'm a little worried about it. People that have been pregnant in the summer months told me it was terrible because of the heat. Is there any way I can make this enjoyable? Thanks.

Yes, buy yourself little sun dresses that are loose fitting. The problem with the heat is that you sweat so much being pregnant and any clingy clothing can make you itchy as hell.

You can do so many things to deal with the summer heat.
1. Stay in an air conditioned room.
2. Swim (swimming is not only cooling but is great exercise)
3. Stay hydrated
4. Wear loose clothes in light materials
5. Wear sunscreen
6. When you are outside keep in the shade
7. Keep a spray bottle with you to mist yourself if you get hot
8. Take naps
9. Ask for help

Good Luck

Well, you never know- this may be a mild summer. In 3 of my 4 full term pregnancies I was large in the summer. It wasn't that terrible. I didn't have a/c in my first one and I swear I spent most of the summer in the shower, thank God I delivered at the end of July. Just try to stay cool, stay in a/c if it's too hot outside, dress appropriately, wear tank tops and shorts and don't worry about how you look. Take a cool shower if you're feeling overheated. You'll be fine.

I would suggest an air conditioner, taking it easy when it's really hot, and drink lots of water! Good Luck.
