All depends on the individual horse. You need to take in account any injuries, how much feed they are getting, the weight of the rider, overall soundness, are they being shown, etc. A couple times a week is plenty for most.

It all really depends. Some things to take into consideration: Are you showing them any time soon? Does anybody else ride him/her? What is the weather like where you live? How intensley do you ride? Do you see them regularly? Does your horse have any injuries? Those are just some.
I
would say that 1-2 hours for about 4 to 6 days a week would make them happy and healthy. But don't overwork them.

I find that trails are my favorite. It allows your horse to be outside instead of in their stall, the arena, or in the pasture all day. It also lets you enjoy nature with your equine friend. Plus, you can spend hours on a trail without getting too tired if you let you horse walk.

It depends on the horse and his soundness. With my young horses that are still green we'll ride them 6 times a week for about 15-30 minutes a day. With my horses that are going to competition or futurities that year I'll ride them 5 days a week for about an hour.
We have some horses that only need to be ridden every now and then and some that need schooling every day. It depends on the horse, his soundness, training, and overall behavior.

It all depends on the horse. My horse actually prefers to only be ridden 3-4 times a week, if I ride him more he gets cranky and unhappy. I have gone a week without riding him, come back and ride him and he goes better after having a week off than if I rode him 3 days in a row. Other horses will be extremely high to ride if you go a week without riding them.
