They do a lot of research, they find small manufacturers that want to off load a short run leftovers. They contact people like the big stores and buy up end of lines with no labels. They find wholesalers.
Basically you need to do a load of work BEFORE you start.
It is a case of you have to know your industry before you start and be a professional, it is not just a case of saying I want a clothes shop. It is also possible to "knock up " specials so you need to be able to sew also the same for selling out marked down goods from catalogue firms.
