By Mary Bertenshaw, about Manchester when she was a little girl. It's out of print now but I believe there are still copies floating around E-bay etc.

Yes, I have a copy of the book, "Sunrise to Sunset," by Mary Bertenshaw and Alan Yardley. I bought it about three years ago at a Halcyon Books, as secondhand bookstore in Greenwich. Yes, it is a wonderful book. The copyright in the front says it was published in 1991. It is a great spirit lifter. I hope your nanna is still in good health and is still writing. She is certainly an excellent writer. She makes Manchester's past come alive. I have now put the book the first shelf in my bookcase, so I can pick it up and read it again from time to time. You are lucky to have such a wise and articulate nanna.
