I'm writing a paper on colour idioms and I need to explain and exemplify them. As you can notice I'm not a native speaker and I need help with some of them:
- black humour
- a white night
- black economy
- white-livered
- like white on rice
I just need you to use them in a sentence.
Thank you

Yep I am from Europe :)
I know the meanings of all these examples I just need them used in a sentence, and no, I don't mean a white knight but a white night, you know like sleepless night

Making a joke about the dead exemplifies black humor.
A white knight? This would be a hero, one of the good guys.
black economy - this one can actually be good or bad. Good, because in banking, a positive amount is written in black and a negative amount in red, so if the economy is' in the black' that's good. But, anything labeled black can be bad and related to economy, it's like Black Tuesday in 1929.
white-livered...hmmm....maybe as opposed to yellow-livered, which would indicate a disease, bad health?
Like white on rice...this is used to describe how you'll cover someone "I'll be all over you like white on rice (or stink on ****, etc.)
Hope that helps.

When I took out that trashy girl and she saw my wallet full of my money, she was on me like white on rice.
The cops said "look it's a janitor in a drum" to destress from the dead body call with some black humour.
