Homeowner, I OWN it (only thing I have to budget for is Property Taxes/Insurance and the stuff I am using to RENOVATE it for me to age in place). SO THRILLED I made this decision as a young woman on Active Duty with the Military -- retired back here, paid off the mortgage, and the whole HOME is now just for me ... because this Long Term Single Parent is FINALLY an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree!

Own two houses and renting a house.
Just moved house - previous house is up for sale and I'm in rented at the moment until deciding where to move to. The other house is completely derelict and we've just started rebuilding.

I rent, but I plan on buying a condo soon. Renting is a waste on money, and my monthly mortgage payments would be cheaper.

I'm renting a house for now until I save up and get my credit inline to buy a house. though with property taxes the way they are in FL it's probably cheaper to rent.

We rent. There was no time to find a place to buy here; my husband had ONE week to move, get settled, and show up for work, and we had to sign a lease, so we're stuck for a year.
