My DVD drive on my laptop can play DVDs, but the video and audio is slow and choppy. The audio skips and repeats itself. This only happens with DVDs; other CDs play normally. The drive played DVDs fine until I used a DVD decrypter program that can copy the movie from a DVD onto the hard drive. Any idea how to fix this?

I would suggest reinstalling the DVD drive software and driver that came with the laptop. I encountered this problem and ended up reformatting my computer, but I assume that just reinstalling the DVD drivers and software would fix the problem.

That is what is known as copy protection, your decrypter program, isn't working right ,it isn't removing the protection as efficiently as it should.

You could uninstall the program, and then reinstall it.
