Ok, my husband and I live in military housing, so I was kinda expecting this anyway but not to this extent. My husband works nights, and I follow his schedule. He is the MP on base who take 911 calls and dispatches so he needs his sleep. But these rude neighbors blast their music 24/7. My husband already sent the mp's over once, and not only did they turn the music up louder, but they were screaming in my yard and pounding on my door, this being at about 2 am. I don't want my husband to get in trouble for abusing his power, but this is ridiculous. They have only gotten louder since, but I can only complain at night when I'm alone, and they will harrass me for it. What can I do?

We have talked with them, but each time it was a guy who shouldn't even be living there (wont even get into that) just being a jerk, and turning up the music more. We were nothing but nice, but once we called the mp's that was it. I'm expecting a child, and I can't imagine my baby getting any sleep when our walls vibrate. I'm just so sick of them.

Try to be adult about it and voice your concerns one-on-one with them. If that doesn't work, try to make 'friends' with them. If they see you as the enemy, they will be more likely to want to annoy you. Good luck. These people sound like jerks.

I don't know much about military housing, but, do you have a lease? On non-military housing leases, there is a clause that states you have the right to the quiet enjoyment of your apartment, which means you don't have to put up with the neighbors from hell. It's the responsibility of your landlord to see that you and other tenants abide by the quiet enjoyment rule.

I never deal directly with difficult neighbors. That's my landlords problem. These people sound crazy to me, especially the pounding on your door in the middle of the night! I would document their behavior and also document each time you report them to your landlord. I would also consider relocating to another unit. They don't sound like they plan to cooperate with anyone.
