Everything that interests me professionaly and privately is hindered by my subconscious fear of public speaking. My heartrate gets out of control making it impossible to talk. Would anyone recommend for or against hypnosis in this case?

Yes! I started serious hypnosis training a little over a year ago with an extremely skillful, compassionate and talented individual. I can honestly say that this has changed my life dramatically for the better. Yes, it could help you tremndously. You learn to do it on your own. You learn to bypass the "noise" of the so-called chatty rational mind. It is amazing/ The trick is to find a good person that does excellent induction and is positive about teaching you how to hypnotize yourself. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Look perhaps for someone with knolwedge and appreciation for the work of Milton Erickson. It's not the corny t.v. stare at a pendulum stuff. This is VERY effective indirect approach to ease your mind and calm your nerves. I have used it for pain, stress, and it has been WONDERFUL. Good luck!
