A chant that I have used is HU. Very simple just sing hhhhhuuuuuu. Or you can chat any word that feels comfortable to you. Taking time to breath and relax is always good, at least 10 to 20 minutes a day. I've had great success with accupunture also. Like in all professions there are good ones and bad ones. Check around and try to get recommendations from people who have been. Most professionals don't charge for a consultation so you can go to a few to see if you like one.

Resource book - The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It deals with the muscles that cause the pain and how to relax them. And is written for the average person to understand.
I do things in conjunction with a chiropractor who uses an activator (not a bone cruncher) and a massage therapist.

Dawg,
I have suffered a neck injury before and I have been searching for products that will help ease the pain and discomfort.
I recently was introduced to a company called Nikken. The products have completely changed my life.
Have a look at the website www.enikken.com.au/deborahmcneil it is really worth a look!

Have you been tested or checked for food allergies -- I ask as I realized I am allergic to yeast--and a major side effect of a yeast allergy is headaches!!!
try cutting out bread for at least a week or two -- then eat it for a couple to 4 days and see if headache pattern changes..... just an idea, but it has made an amazing difference in my life.
Also I find if I eat breads that take longer for my body to process (high fibre, sour dough, sprouted grain, rye breads) then they don't seem to bother me as much.
Generally I sub flat breads and such and limit my bread intake to once a day if at all!!!
g'luck

The numbness and pain was not cured by 6 months of therapy and medication, but got well in 30 days of taking the supplements. If you are interested, please write me at jade_flowershop@yahoo.com.

Yoga, pranayama and suryanamaskar will alleviate you from this problem.
All head aches are either due to constipation or depression. Both can be cured by yoga.
