First of all, Flychicc, you made yourself sound really smart since accountancy is a word. It is the noun that is defined as "the art or practice of an accountant" by dictionary.com.

As for the actual question at hand, one of the higher paid business degrees at my business school right now is Information Systems. People in this field go set up computer and network systems for business, and sometimes even do forensic computer work where they look for weaknesses in a company's systems.

You could also go into Finance, although that degree usually requires a masters degree to be more lucrative.

Another option is to choose one of those degrees or even Accounting (which is my major) and combine it with a double major in management. That way, you may be more able to lean towards the HR side of business. While that might not be as lucrative initially, it might be more fun and allow more personal contact and would offer better earnings than many non-business degrees.

If you like writing, another degree you might consider is public relations. I'm not sure exactly what the earnings potentials are, but if you're really good at it, then it should be reasonable. You would do lots of writing of newsletters, press releases and other things. Hope this was helpful!

if you want a highly paid job, then you are in the wrong track. Health industry is one of the highly paid jobs out there, i.e. nurse, doctor. and we are in need of health care professionals. although my business law prof said lawyer/doctor is the highest paid job. malpractice law. but you have to study for at least 12 years (4 yrs pre-med, 4 or more yrs med school, 4 or more yrs law school).

unless you become like bill gates, then you're ok. gates is doing good business.

If you believe that accountancy is a word maybe you should reconsider saying that one of your strong subjects is english.
