I would say yes, however we usually refer to a man as handsome and women as beautiful. I have heard people describe a man as beautiful and women as handsome. Both men and women are commonly referred to as gorgeous. I have never heard “pretty” used to describe a man and has a feminine connotation. Merriam-Webster’s Online Dictionary describes handsome as a synonym for beautiful.
There is a difference between written English and spoken English. The way we use words while speaking is often applied differently than what the dictionary says is acceptable in some cases.

"Beautiful" has a different meaning from "handsome" and "pretty" is different again. There is an ethereal quality to "beautiful" that is not there with "handsome". As an example, in the movie The Lord of the Rings, you could well describe Aragorn as "handsome" while you would not be wrong to describe Legolas as "beautiful". There is nothing "girlie" about using "beautiful" to describe a man.

It's grammatically correct. It denotes a man who is good-looking in a soft, slightly womanish way. For example, the statue David is said to be beautiful.

I will agree that it is fair to say such. I was told some time ago that to acknowledge something as beautiful is to say that nature has done its job. Years ago women that were not good lookers in their youth but were becoming somewhat pleasing to the eyes as they became older were complimented as handsome, meaning that their appearance has grown to be acknowledge as something of beauty.

Depends on what you trying to say: beautiful applies to whatever excites the keenest of pleasure to the senses and stirs emotion through the senses.....handsome suggests aesthetic pleasure due to proportion, symmetry, or elegance

It's correct, but sounds like it came from the 19th century. It's awkward by today's usage and context.
