I have 2 crested geckos, 1 leopard gecko, 1 jacksons chameleon, and 2 ball pythons, for the time being. I would like to add another reptile to my increasing collection. you can see by what i have that i do not like anything extremely large, but am not against big stuff, and definately am ruling out turtles/tortoises i just have never liked them. I want something that can be held. any ideas?

So I started with water dragons, I myself want 4 species.
Water dragons are not as common as beardies, but they are getting more so, they have a lot of needs regarding water and climbing limbs as well as humidity. They are hardy and are gentle.
When I am completely self employed building and shipping custom reptile cages, I will get Frilled Lizards. They are small (9" SVL) , and very loving, which is surprising because they are ferocious in the wild and will attack things much larger than them in defense of a nest...then chase after it. That's what I call gutsy.
A difficult lizard to maintain because they are flighty, nervous and not very hardy... so I have read, but extremely exotic is the green or brown basilisk. There are several subspecies. I like the one with the double crest on the head. They are amazing looking reptiles. The basilisk is AKA the jesus christ lizard because it has modified scales on the bottom of its hind feet that allow it to run on top of the surface of the water. If chased, it will run across the surface of a pond, stop, sink and swim away...note this means the little guys are lightning fast. What other animal can run on top of water?
Lastly tree monitor. As far as monitors go...once again no experience, I just read this, I elected not to get a monitor as my first reptile because of the monitor book I read before getting one. Green Tree monitors are beautiful. Cost $1100, the black tree monitors aren't quite so pretty but come in at around $300. They are 3-4 feet long, 2/3 of the body is tail. So maybe 18" body full grown. and a big huge whiptail. Oh there is also a species more bluish. But the tree monitor is very aggressive and mean. Would require a lot of time to tame and is recommended to get one as a captive born baby so as a baby you can get used to holding one.
You should also look into sailfins, which aren't my cup of tea for whatever reason so I haven't retained specific info on them due to lack of interest. Similar care as the water dragons regarding diet/ temperature/ caging/ humidity etc.

I have a house gecko and love him. They are easy to care for and very tame. I also have a leopard gecko, an albino leopard gecko, nd a chamelian (I know I spelled that wrong)

Try taking care of what you have first, when you stop calling them your collection, then try breeding what you have to pay or trade for the rest of your breeders. People who "collect" get burnt out and careless and end up trying to find homes for their "collection". I am a member of the Midwest reptile rescue and a recognized hertoculterilist, and have seen MANY people have this happen to them.

bearded dragons. they are small at first and they get to about a foot long, but they are the friendliest lizards u will find. and they are fairly easy to take care of, they pretty much eat what your geckos eat and are very similar in care aside from the fact that they like it dry in there homes not humid

I would go with a Bearded Dragon, they don't get overly large (normally 12-14 inches), are very easy to care for and reasonably priced.

Go for a red tail boa they get a bit bigger than a ball python and are awesome

how about an iguana? I had a friend that had 2 of them and they acted more like dogs than iguanas -- they can be fun and cool
