Women cannot change men and men cannot change us women.... The only one we have power to change at all is ourselves. i like to change myself to be a better spouse and wife to my husband. This also encourages him to work on himself and be a better husband to me as well. Goes both ways you know. You cannot ever change another person and the sooner people realize this the better off they will be.

Who knows. I had this problem with my ex. She knew who I was when we were married. I was always myself when we were dating, But, for some reason, some women look at men like they are projects to save or improve.
From my experience, this is usually the younger ladies. Not always though. From the ladies I know, they finally get to a point where I guess they give up.
No one can change another person if they don't want to change. But some of them will put up a serious fight.

Women see men as having "potential", with a few minor changes. What they don't realize is when they change the things they don't like, it also changes some of the things that attracted them to him in the first place.

I think its because they don't want to let you go, but some things just really rub them the wrong way and they feel they cant live with it. Part of loving someone is accepting the good and bad. The best way to initiate change in someone is to change something in your own behavior, then the other person adjust his ways. Change happens. Its a miracle

And men and women are "guilty" of trying to change their partners, but it happens more with the women, since they are more insecure. Insecurity is the reason why the woman would want to change her guy instead of either staying single to keep available for a guy that fits the criteria or accepting the guy for who he is.

Well when us women are young we tend to think we can change the man into a perfect man. As we get older we see we cannot change them at all. It just comes with age to know that we cannot change a man.

I think both men and women do this or try to. I say look for these qualities in a person before you get involved with them. Don't try to change the person you;re with to fit your expectations. It never works.I think if you want to change someone, you;'re with the wrong person to begin with.

Couples shouldn't use sex as a way to change or control guys or girls alike. Relationships aren't about controling people it is about being happy with each other and relating with each other. The only one that can change people from the inside out is god and themselves.
