In response to your question, I always try to provide the best information possible in relationship to the question. If I can not supply a acceptable answer, then I do not reply, but I will rate others responses while I am there.
As for "doing" someone's homework, (like a math question for example.) just giving the answer is, in my opinion wrong. If you take the time and explain how you came up with that answer, then you are doing more than just supplying answers. You are teaching in a sense and I have no concerns over this.
A very wise teacher once told me, everyone learns at his or her own pace and how they learn can very greatly. It is not the getting the "right answer" that is important. It is how you arrived at the answer that matters most.

I am 68 years old and I find much comfort and joy assisting those that need it. Sometimes using the right words in the search is not always easy for the really good answers. Sometimes the student is unable to find the right words for the search engine..........I usually put several links out there and then tell them to finish the reading and do the homework...........So no I'm not afraid who should we be afraid of? Would you be that person? I hope not, because answers is not what it is all about it's HELPING some poor soul that is stressed out because of the PILES of homework passed out as though it helps them learn, instead of the teacher/instructor actually teaching.
*********************************************
I will continue to Help as long as I am allowed to.
I gurantee NO ONE is going to turn this into an abuse case and>>>> WIN!<<<<<

I am like Chris W, i give ideas and assistance, and RARELY give plain answers. Answers is not help, - it is complicity to cheating!
I am a teacher, and would not like to think that kids can get the answers from here and not involve themselves in the process of achieving the answer.
Hey! What is the point of "homework help" if it is not for HELP. I am not going to save someone's bacon and give out answers!!

I try to give correct answers. But, if I think I know an answer, but I'm not 100% sure, I'll preface the answer with the statement, "I'm not absolutely sure, but I think..."
People who tell the questioners to "do their own homework" are doing a disservice because the computer and the Internet are valid research tools.

We help them and give them answers. I don't think they have the right to report us because they asked the question and we answered it without saying anything bad.

I try to help and get them to think about it. I don't like just giving straight answers cause then they don't learn anything :-)

I don't like giving off pat answers. It does not help them learn for themselves. Instead I prefer to point them in the direction of useful sites.
