i've been wanting to perform at this festival in illinois that i go to every year, but i don't play any instruments. do you think everyone would hate it and be bored if i sang with no music?

I think acapella is really cool. It proves you have REAL talent and dont have to use an instrument as a crutch. I listened to your music and I think it is cool. I would go if I lived closer. Good luck and if anyone gets bored then they are extremely shallow. Be proud of yourself for being able to sing that well without an instrument.

I like a Capella singing if it's a group. I'm not sure about a performer by himself.
What festival in Illinois, if I may ask? I'm from IL too.

An acapella performance would be the BEST!!! Do you remember watching those military uniformed ladies perform acapella on the tv screen? That is the best and I think you ladies in particular do it best. Have you seen Christina Aguilera's new performance to her new fantastic album? Get inspiration from that -- it is the best!

acapella performances are great provided you have great vocals and pick a song that is worthy of singing without music in the background.

No. There's Barber Shop, and many unaccompanied choral music, and lot's of it is very exciting.
