I have a recipe that calls for 1/3rd cup but none of my measuring cups have a 1/3rd on it. They have 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and a cup. What should I do.

1/3 is right between 1/4 and 1/2. So fill the measuring cup half way between the two.

put whatever it is you're measuring into the 1/4 cup and the 3/4 cup, that'll equal 1 cup. Then combine the 1/4 cup and 3/4 cup in a larger bowl. Then divide what is in that bowl into 3 equal parts.
Each part will be 1/3 of a cup.
Next step: Go to Wal-Mart and buy yourself a 1/3 cup measuring cup

listen to BigJake418 alias Big Jeff. His answer is exactly right even if his taste in music stinks.
