My boyfriend is a computer programmer, but he still acts like a little kid. I can barely get him to wear a jacket and its -11 outside. He needs to wear a hat, how can I trick him?

Is he your boyfriend or your son?

Would someone be able to trick YOU into wearing a hat? Not like you wouldn't notice. If he doesn't want to wear a hat then leave the boy alone... he has a right to his opinion.

Don't trick him. Just show you concern for him. Let him know that you are worried about his personal being. He is who he is and trying to change him will only push him farther away. You could always try begging or being a brat. Like refuse to go anywhere with him unless he puts a jacket on. But don't over do it, it can get old. Big kisses as a reward always helps too. ;) good luck!

Shave his head in a small area while he is sleeping, and make it look bad. So he feels the need to cover it up by wearing a hat.

He's a big boy-when he wants to wear a hat, he will. When he decides it too cold he'll learn.

If you want the relationship to be honest, open and to last, don't start tricking him. You wouldn't like it.

Be honest with him, you're concerned about his health and want him around for a long time.

Try buying him a nice hat, if you haven't already. Those guys are so stubborn about such things, but if you bought him a nice one, then maybe he'd feel he had to wear it.

Don't even try. If he gets cold enough, or has frostbite, which is very, very painful, he'll quit worrying about appearance and start being smart about keeping warm.
