After i relieved myself in the morning i found some blood before i flushed the toilet bowl. This happened a few times in last 2 weeks. I just moved from my country to US and have been jet-lagged too. Could it be due to travelling or some food?

No rectal bleeding indicates a problem so see a doctor for a diagnosis. It could be something as simple as hemorrhoids or it could be a sign of tears or cancer but it has to be checked out by the doc.

You could be having a messed up cycle. it happened to me but this was after i had my kids, and now i don't bleed anymore at all so i don't have to worry about buying those pads. but yeah that might be whats going on. You might be having your period but its messed up. Your moods can do things like this to your cycle, stress can do it too. If this isn't it then maybe you should go see the Doctor just to make sure. Doctors knows best!
ps. if this blood is comming from the other end then YEAH You definitly should see the doctor.

You could have a hemorrhoid that has been irritated. Or there could be a skin tag in that area. You should see a doctor to have it checked out.

You should get it checked out. If it's rectal bleeding it can be caused by obstructions or simple hemorrhoids. If it's from your urinary tract it can be from a urinary tract, bladder or kidney infection.
