There is nothing in the dishwasher that will harm them. Feel free to do so without any problems.

I usually soak my cast iron burners in a mixture of ammonia and water in the sink for about 30 min. or so. The ammonia loosens the gunk on it. I have never tried it in dishwasher.

I, guess the burners aren't totally covered by ceramic, never, never, puit cast iron, old wooden handle forged steel knives in a dishwasher!!!!! They will come out all rusted!!!!!

if the ceramic coated cast iron burner is very old means the ceramic will alone chip off.

No, I'm not sure what would ruin it they are so very durable.
