firstly u need to get firefox web browser...
there a mozilla firefox addon -"unplug" once u download it getting videos from u tude shouldnt be a problem....
when u want to download a video from u tube u go to that particular page and click on unplug icon on ur browser window(a fish like symbol) itll give u the video u want to download click on the most probable one(it'll be written below the link..that this is the video u want to download ...)
u can use this to download from google videos also

its very simple....you need to use FireFox....then download a plug in called video downloader(you can find it on FireFox website) now when you r viewing the video on youtube or Google or metcafe it will give u an option of downloading!...... after you download you will need a flv player to play it....just Google it and use any flv player....

Yeah apparently there is some kind of software you can get that some how allows you to extract the video. I've seen a few of them advertised but never tried them, I think most of them include a VERY small trial and after that you have to buy the software. if you find a good one any chance you good MSG me with it?

you can't. The videos are embedded in a way that makes them unavailable to download.

You really aren't suppose to. However if you go into your cache, you may be able to find the video that was played and drag it your desktop, thus saving it from when you empty your cache (or the computer empties the cache).

you can download any you tube video from www.savtube.com.you need a flv player to play the videos, like wimpy flv player which you can get from www.wimpyplayer.com

the youtube website tells you that there are no downloading.
now if only there was some program to SNAGIT or something.
there are programs that allow you to copy video , but remember copyright. and watch watch you copy
