Saying "da Bears" is from a sketch on Saturday Night Live back in the 90's and it stuck. It has nothing to do with black & white. Defenses usually do win championships. I think it will this time, but I think it'll be the Colts defense that plays better.

The saying is true and has nothing to do with the bears organization. Case in point Superbowl XL Seahawks vs. Steelers. The Seahawks had the best offense in the league but no defense. The steelers on the other hand had a pretty decent def fens and a shaky offense. The steelers won that game pretty easily. Most Seahawks fans will tell you that they had help from the refs, and i agree, but the great teams always find a way to win.
So ya the saying can get a Little bit old but you have a really easy way to avoid it. Don't watch any pregame coverage or talk to any Bears fans. I guess if you live in Chicago you are just S.O.L.

That saying has been around for quite a while, and how can you blame them? They have an outstanding defense, and their offense can only run the ball. And 'da bears' has nothing to do with what color skin someone has, its from an SNL skit based on an exaggeration of the chicago accent.

What's the matter? The truth hurt's??? Da Bears comes from Da super fans, as somone already mentioned it was a skit on SNL. Who is tired of colts fans asking "who is going to win the super bowl"??, "who is sick of hearing defense wins championships?" Get over it. DA Bears will win today!!!!!

Not me. I loved seeing the Ravens win with defense back in 2000, and it's always nice to laugh in the faces of the offense-loving whiners.
