Let's go from general to particular.

It's the largest country in South America: 8.5 million square kilometers (smaller than the US, smaller than China but larger than Australia and two and a half times larger than India).

Largest country with a black population, with the state of Bahia, in the North, being the most "African" of all Brazilian provinces.

Largest Portuguese speaking nation, though other languages, like German, Italian, Ukranian (specially in the South) are spoken by minorities. Largest country with a Japanese population outside Japan.

Capital city: Brasilia, founded by Juscelino Kubitschev.

Huge income disparities all across the country, with large areas of poverty (the example being the "favelas") but also large pockets of excesive wealth (like the millionaires travelling around Sao Paulo city in helicopters; Sao Paulo being the second city in the world in helicopter usage, second only to Tokio).

The North is poor and underdeveloped. Some of the Northern states are: Amazonas, Para, Bahia...

The South is rich and developed. Some of the Southern States are: Santa Catarina, Parana, Rio Grande do Sul... Parana specially has a city (Curitiba) with a great quality of life, rivaling European and Scandinavian cities.

The Rio Carnival takes place in february...

The Pantanal (in Central Brazil) boasts a biological diversity as large (or bigger) than the Amazon, though it is threatened by increased urbanisation, the construction of modern highways and growing industrial agriculture. Brazil is the largest soja producer and some of its agricultural companies are now more competitive than farms in Canada or North America.

Home of the Embraer company, an aeronautical company rivalling multinationals like Bombardier, Boeing, Airbus, Thales...

And Carlos Santana is Mexican, by the way...

It's where I live. I don't know other countries but I'm sure it's a peculiar place. You can search at google Maps for Sao Paulo city and you will find a labyrinth of streets with trees. It's not like New York or Tokyo where the streets forms squares.

There are beautiful places here in Brazil too but I can't say it's the most beautiful place of the world although some places are really breathtaking.

There are few civilized places if you check all Brazil's extension. There's a lot to do for growing the economy.
There's a lot of "wild" sports like skydiving and rafting.

To Not Ecky Boy - Carlos Santana is Mexican.

The best looking girls in the world.

But do not describe them as "raparigas" because this portuguese word means something entirely different in Brazil!

And Carlos Santana of course.
