some might say hes a musical genius and can write quite good songs, others just say he a messed up junkie who puts society to shame...but what are your thoughts? im interested to know.....all arguements for and against pete doherty

Where to start? He's a pointless w**ker. His music is completely pants; I can't even remember the name of anything he's ever done (oh actually i can; F**k Forever; nice....) and he has the audacity to diss bands like Muse and call them mediocre. Yeah whatever you muppet. He's spawned a load of bands who actually think the Libertines were good. Do we really need the View and all that kind of thing? Carl Barat only started to do some good stuff when he got away from Docherty and started up the Dirty Pretty Things.
He look like he sleeps in a garden hedge, finds his clothes in a skip and doesn't know what soap is. I've seen more stylish individuals staggering out of hostels in the moring high on lighter fuel and White Lightning.
As for the Kate Moss thing, there's a saying about kippers coming in pairs. They're as tawdry, raddled and grubby as each other; a match made in some sordid crack den if there ever was one.
All that said, that song he did with Wolfman, For Lovers was good if you didn't have to look at Pete in the video and just heard it on the radio instead...

em well it has to be said that he may be one of the most unattractive of the male specimens I've ever seen. most people find confidence the most attractive feature in a person, Pete seems to have a great lack of this also from what I've seen i think he could do with a good wash and a trip to a personal shopper or even oxfam i know for a fact they would kit him out at very little cost with some great clothes so he would have plenty left to feed his habit of choice. also i don't think i would like to deal with the whole cutting himself thing. i also think this says an awful lot about Kate moss' choices and her lifestyle also ( it makes me wonder is Pete the only 1 taking smack) mental health issues put me off more than anything why would we want a relationship let alone a wedding.

He is a musical genius but too caught up in the drug game.
With the Libertines, he was in a band that could have been the biggest Britain has seen since The Clash. Unfortunately drugs got the better of him and the rest is history.
If he quits the drugs and the hangers on, then he could make his way to the top.

I don't know anything about his music so cant comment there.
But certainly his media persona shouts out..messed up junkie and why Kate moss would want anything to do with him is beyond me,but shes no oil painting either in my mind maybe its a case of ,birds of a feather flock together.

I met him once, before he was famous, he was a really nice guy. As for media, I don't accept the arguement he is "romanticising" taking drugs. He just can't stop taking them. It's a disease. As for the songs, the first Libertimes album was a masterpiece, a gift to the world. Babyshambles have a catchiness and a few really good tunes, but a lot of silliness and trying too hard to be artistic.

I thinks hes one of the most vulgar and disgusting men that ever walked the planet. He makes me sick. That whole blood test tube thing was not cool. I hope that photographer doesn't have his condition now. What a loser! My friend thinks hes hot though. Shes crazy!

1. hes not my type
2. the whole junkie thing is not appealing in the slightest
3. he has no respect for himself
4. he potentially could of had a greta music career, but has blown that
now if you knew some guy, similar look to him who was heading for a great career in say Marketing for example, he then became a useless junkie and threw it down the pan....this guy would be of no interest to you at all, just because he's famous & shagging Kate Moss....its ok?!!
nah, if it was your average bloke doing what he's doing they would of been in prison long ago.

Definately NOT HOT!!! A junkie? is that who we want representing our society in the worlds newspapers and being a role model for the youth of today? the newspapers shouldn't even bother with him, they make his drug taking look cool- which it isn't and neither is he. if he was he'd clean up his act, the help is there for him, whereas to many tohers its not.
