His bahaviour will change and he will not be all that upfront with information. He may look rather paniced if you answer his cell phone.

There are several clues a man will give (usually unknowingly) that can tip his woman off to an affair.

1.) When he comes home, the first thing he wants to do is jump in the shower. Especially if he didn't used to do this, but only started recently. This could be a sign he wants to wash off the scent of the "other person".

2.) He dresses up and grooms himself nicely, even if he's just "going out with the boys". No man that is actually hanging out with his dudes will wear nice clothes. We (yes, I am a man) will usually go with messed hair, some facial stubble, and a t-shirt and jeans.

3.) He frequently "works late". Especially if this is combined with #1 above, or #2 if he's in a job that doesn't require their employees dressed in suits or the such (i.e. construction).

4.) Your intimate life together (i.e. sex) drops off the map. A man needs sex on a regular basis, unless he has a medical condition or stresses at work. If he suddenly stops begging you for sex and you haven't been initiating sex more frequently, he's probably getting it somewhere else. Try initiating sex after he comes home, especially with you dressing up in sexy lingerie and wear some nice makeup, and see how he reacts. Do this several times over a week to get a general consensus. If he keeps talking about being too tired or having a headache (usually excuses used by a female), then he probably had his fill somewhere else.

5.) If you don't live together, but are apart and call each other frequently, he begins evading answering where he is exactly. Especially if he won't give the phone number of where he's at so you can reach him in an emergency. In addition, he may stop being 'definite' about his plans with you and start answering with phrases like "I'll see if I can", "Maybe, I'll find out later", "I'll try to make it, but I might have to 'work late'."

If he's never been a spontaneous gift giver before and all of a sudden begins presenting you with flowers, gifts, etc., watch out!
Also, if he begins improving his appearance (starts working out, new cologne, trimming down below, etc) 'just because', that's another dead giveaway.
If he's secretive with his cell phone, credit card receipts, etc., that could be a sign as well.
An increase or decrease in sex is a good one too. A lot of the time a cheater's sex drive with his/her partner will either go way up or down.
And one final one: if he suddenly becomes suspicious of YOU, accuses YOU of cheating with zero grounds, then beware. A guilty conscience will often make a cheater accuse his/her partner of the same rotten behaviour.

I know the answer because my first husband cheated on me. If they are not coming home after work and staying out late. If they are saying they are working over time but there is no over time money on the check. If they have sex with you but do not care if you have fun in the process. If thier stories do not add up and there is a lot of flat tires or car problems. If they no longer want to spend time with you on the weekends and always find an excuse to leave like having to work, going over a friends house to help them with a project exc exc. If they start blaming you for them not coming home to cover up their bad behavior. If they start accusing you of looking and seeing other people on the side. If they start an arguement for no reason just to find a way to walk out of the house. If you are asking for sex after he comes home late at night and he refuses and takes a shower right away. There are lots of ways of knowing your partner is cheating. If it comes to mind that he is cheating most likely he is.

A better question is "why do you think your man maybe cheating"? If you have suspicions, they're probably true. Just confront him and even if you don't have any proof, tell him how you feel about "cheating" and EXACTLY what you'll do to his member if it ever happens. Then give him a nice peck on the lips and tell him to be very careful.

I regretfully have been with married men and did not know what they were telling their wives. These guys are SMOOTH talkers though, and will sound so believable, so sincere, and they have things figured out 50 steps in advance in order to cover their tracks. If you suspect it, then it's probably true. A really good guy who is into you will leave you with no doubts and it's blissful. Strive for that.

How good is your sense of smell? Sniff his clothes, lady, you'll know. I can smell purfume a mile away, if he's doing some skank on the side, she'll have rubbed off on him, maybe.
