Video memory is part of your video hardware. Only in special circumstances can it be upgraded.

Video memory is how much memory is built in to the video card. The only way to get more is to buy a graphics card that HAS more and install it. At this point you're better off going to a store like Best Buy or Circuit City that can sell you the card and install it for you or show you how.

Video card memory is the memory built into a graphics card for the specific use of the graphics card, meaning it cannot be utilized by the system. Unfortunatly the only want to upgrade graphics card memory is to buy a new graphics card.

More than likely you need a 3d video card.
They can be minimal to very expensive in cost.
If you have an AGP slot then that's your first step but there are also other things to consider. If you have anything less than a PIII processor, I wouldn't get a new card, It's not cost effective and it be better to get another computer.
To see what kind of processor you are running with, on Windows, go to My computer and right click on the icon. Hope that helps...

right click on ur "my computer" icon go to properties then to hardware then click device manager..locate display adapters and click the plus.....then right click on ur video card....left click "update driver"..follow the wizard....if there is no update there goto the website that manufactured the card (i.e if its a nvidia g-force go to www.nvidia.com).they will have updates there. But if the game takes a video card that requires 256 mb and urs is only 128..........its not gona be possible unless u shut down alot of the advanced video gaming options in the game itself such as shadowing ......
