there is an asian remedy those who fight in martial arts tournaments (not in video games) use

As a regular competitor in Tae Kwon Do Tournaments in Ohio as a hobby I would suggest you try and find some of it which I buy at most local grocery store pharmacies in the Health and Beauty Aide aisles and it's great for relieving the pain and ache

The product is called Tiger Balm ointment and the dosage (meaning ammount you apply to your knees) varies from person to person so you'll have to experiment with it but I think that will help ease your problem

Have you noticed if it happens more because of the cold? Are there certain things you are doing to make them hurt worse?

The best thing you can do is alternate between ice and heat. Take ibuprofen as it can help with inflammation.

Consult a ortho doctor. May be due to knee cap damage?

If this pain has just started, do simple yoga practices to strengthen your thigh, knee muscles and in turn your knee cap.

Mine do too especially if I'm sitting "indian style" for too long. Advil works well for me. Also, warm wraps (like the kind you warm up in the microwave) help a lot.
