my son is 3 months old, he sometimes have 6-8 poopey diapers a day and sometimes he doesnt have any poops for 5 days in a row.. is it normal to have 6-8 bowel movements a day? and how is the colour of the bowel movements must be?
help...

It really depends on whether the baby is fed formula or breastmilk. Breastfed babies tend to have more frequent, seedy watery stools. Formula fed children have a mushier consistency and darker color ( light brown to dark green). 5 days without a bowel movement is pretty long. I would bring this up to my pediatrician. If your son is formula fed, you may need to change the formula.
